Covid-19

Moving forward with COVID 19

It is with great sadness Dee Ganley DOG Training and friends will suspend classes in facilities.  I am hoping to start offering outside classes by May 23rd. Feel free to contact me at 603-735-5543 or dee@deesdogs.com. I can certainly ZOOM or talk via phone to help you with issues that need attention NOW. Class dates are subject to change so check back please

How canceled events and self-quarantines save lives, in one chart.

All New Clients:

  • will first do a Phone Consultation to decide what the next step might be. Private Sessions will meet as phone consultations or meet outside as we did for years before training facilities became popular.
  • This way I can use my own property starting in May which has a large fenced area I still have snow out back so needs to thaw out and dry out. There is a small 24 x 24 training barn, no heat, that I can keep clean and disinfected,  we will only meet weather permitting of course. Plan on being outside.

Summer Outside Classes:

  • I will be rethinking about, if we can do these safely in smaller groups outside after the suspension I will consider doing that.  I am hoping to start offering outside classes by June 4th. Registration is open at this time.

Online Consults:

  • If I can figure out Zoom we can do Cyber space or Skype face to face one on one or even small classes like a tricks class or preparing for CGC testing.
  • Anyone want to coach me in using ZOOM  exchange for  free classes?
  •  Follow up sessions may be in person, but outside or possibly here at my home in East Andover (but that has to be 4 weeks out) or a place we agree on closer to you.
  • As most of you know I see many clients with dogs with issues over aroused to reactive so stopping seeing these folks is not going to happen if they are ok with using phones or Skye or Zoom. Learning the beginning skills can be done in your home or outside in your own back yard.

On a Personal Note:

I will continue to reevaluate and hope to be able to resume all locations sooner than later. Please know that this decision was not made lightly. Been mulling if over for a week now.  I feel that we Trainer/behaviorist need to do our part to help stop the spread of the virus. Since the Governor did the State of Emergency and now all the schools, it’s time for more of us to follow their lead.  The latest information has shown that people can be contagious without symptoms.

I was talking to a good friend and she reminded me that I’m no spring chicken so to speak  as much as I might think I am… that I need to also think about myself and my family and friends too (I’m 69 and have diabetes and my husband is also High Risk with heart issues so we really need to be careful). Like all small businesses this decision – for the good of all greatly- affects my bottom line and refunds for classes started are just not possible. BUT!

  • We will do our best to honor all remaining sessions when we get started back either outside or back in a facility.
  • I’ll be posting on my website when and where workshops/classes will be offered
  • Samples: include Out and About classes limited to 4 teams that Cindy will offer up in the Lebanon area, I’ll be teaching in the Andover and Grantham areas, Recall and Whistle Recalls, Loose Lead Walking and Real Life Skills and Control Unleashed Skills in Grantham and Andover. Stay Tuned.

Safety is of the utmost importance to us. I will be revamping this information if needed as more information becomes available. My classes will be posted on my website.
